Latin America: Dumping Ground for Toxic Wastes

This discusses how how toxic waste, originating in Europe and in the U.S., ends up getting exported to Latin American countries, such as Brazil, due to a lax in anti-pollution laws, which also make disposal easier, and cheaper, than in Europe and in the U.S. It depicts how European and U.S. companies are constantly bribing, and looking to cut deals which undermine the health of the environmental health of the region in exchange to build schools, hospitals, roads, and payments of a few millions of dollars in exchange for rights to dispose of millions of tons of hazardous waste materials no more than a few yards away from touristic centers as well as close to areas with school children.
